About

Introduction:

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in 2012. I also completed a fellowship in Adult Psychoanalysis from the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute in 2011. My internships were across the spectrum in Mental Health. I worked at Garden City Hospital out patient mental health clinic working with adults from 2011-2012. I also worked with Dr. Kakar a psychiatrist at Havenwyck Hospital as an intern in 2012. He specializes in working with children. From 2010-2015, after finishing my training here, I worked at Common Ground with individuals in crisis. At this time, I am working with Walnut Lake Pre-School and Development Center as a Family Consultant.

Approach:

My approach is client-centered and solution-focused and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques along with mindfulness. I take a holistic perspective in my clinical practice drawing from clinical psychology, mindfulness, neuroscience and psychoanalytic practices.
