Introduction:

I received my Master of Counseling degree from Oakland University in 2017. As an undergrad, I completed an internship with a non profit organization in Chicago that supports at risk youth to provide positive activities and opportunities for their future. During graduate school I interned with Oakland Family Services where I conducted individual therapy and family therapy sessions for children aged 5 through 21 years old for children . Since 2021 I have been working full-time as an elementary mental health counselor.

Approach:

My experience is working with children from age 5 to young adults. My approach is client-centered and solution-focused techniques. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

I believe in utilizing an array of other techniques while also taking a solutions and strengths focused approach. My goal is to create and foster a trusting, honest, and positive relationship with my clients.
