Introduction:

I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I completed all coursework earning a 4.0 in the academic portion. Then, I completed the fieldwork experience earning my degree on the twenty-third day of August in 2020. On December 12, 2020, I passed the national exam by the National Board of Certified Counselors earning my NCC. I currently hold a license in the State of Michigan.

Approach:

As an existential therapist, I am able to use an integrative approach to therapy. I create a personalized approach suited best to the client’s needs. The therapy modalities I often pull from include humanistic, behavioral, person-centered therapy, psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. Existential therapists, heavily focus on the capacity for self-awareness, exploring their person’s overall experiences, recreating themselves, anxiety (a natural part of being human), the meaning of life, freedom (free will), self- determination, responsibility, and death. As we discuss topics, we collaboratively find ways of making changes where/if needed to increase the overall quality of life for the client.
